Raleigh has been manufacturing patrol-specific bicycles since 1987 when they teamed up with the Seattle Police department to develop the first police special edition. There have been many technological changes since then, but Raleigh's is still among leaders in manufacturing bicycles able to withstand the rigors of daily patrol use.
